So Jon and Tim Foreman of Switchfoot did an interview with Air1 yesterday. We got a recording of the entire interview, which you can download here.

The guys talk about eating horses amongst other compelling topics, and also performed a harmonica-laced acoustic version of The Sound and a stripped down version of Your Love Is a Song, as well. You can also download mp3's of the two songs as well below:

Air1 also posted photos of Jon and Tim for your viewing pleasure on their Facebook page. Example below:

Speaking of radio interviews, our friend Jesse said Charlotte's 106.5 THE END was supposed to have interviewed Jon Foreman and Drew Shirley this morning. Anyone got a recording?

We do have a Youtube video of the guys performing "Mess of Me" though:

And last in the string of radio promotions, Switchfoot just announced a new contest with x1029.

It's not abnormal for a band from the West Coast to be big fans of surfing. What could be considered "out of the ordinary" is a band having a day off of the grueling tour schedule, and hanging with listeners to catch some waves. That is exactly what the guys from the band Switchfoot will be doing on May 23rd at the Jax Beach Pier. That's why X102.9 is inviting all of you to the beach to catch the tide on your longboards. Once the waves have been adequately dominated, a select few contest winners will be invited to attend a "meet and eat" with a special X-clusive acoustic performance from the band at Lynch's Irish Pub. It's another X102.9 X-perience that you can't get anywhere else on the "Planet".

Full details here.

POLLS

Switchfoot's "The Sound" is doing spectacularly well on Alternative Radio. But we need to keep it up. So below are links to request the single on key alternative stations around the country. These stations do "top songs requested" lists in the evenings, so we need everyone's help to get "The Sound" recognized! If we all fill out at least one request for all of these, we will be able to impact the stations!
