Switchfoot and Jon Foreman live it up in LA

Switchfoot and Jon Foreman spent the afternoon yesterday in the City of Angels, Los Angeles. Minor trivia: I was supposed to go meet up and hang with them for the 987 hang out thing (complete with Red Light putting me and a friend on a special guest list), but 21 and over rules derailed those plans.

Anyhow, here's what went down.

Switchfoot and Jon tweeted about their time there.

Switchfoot:
- doin work on a rooftop in downtown la. don't worry about it. http://twitpic.com/j4fau

Jon:
- It's only a couple hours from where I live but...
- I like to observe LA through the eyes of an alien travelling in a strange and distant land.

Jon also talked to the 987 for about a minute about what they had going for them at the secret penthouse location they were hanging out at.

Later, Jon, busy man that he is, went over to UCLA and play a show for some college frat kids. Here's the only video that has surfaced so far:

^I never realized how incredibly depressing those lyrics sound. Not gonna lie. I'm kind of unsure about this song right now. But anyhow, it's poetic as always.

I half-agree with you Job on the issue of "Fake Your Own Death" lyrics. They are in a way hopeful and uplifiting, cos its encouraging us to live!
