BREAKING: Switchfoot teams with Atlantic Records for Worldwide release of "Hello Hurricane"

From Switchfoot.com:

8.07.09: Greetings from Switchfoot

The past few years have been an incredible journey for us as a band. As we played shows around the world, we thought long and hard about why we play music. We felt like we were up against a bigger storm than we'd ever faced before. It was out of that storm that a newfound hope and freedom began to breath life into our songs. During that time, Jon released four solo EP's and a side project, called Fiction Family. We built our own studio and tracked more than eighty tunes culminating in the completion of our new record, "Hello Hurricane". We recorded the album independently under our own label Lowercase People Records and then began to search for the right partners to help us get these songs out there.

After a few months of deliberating, we're thrilled to announce we've found our team: Switchfoot and Lowercase People Records will be partnering with Atlantic and EMI/CMG for the global release of our new record. These partnerships will ensure that these tunes are heard around the world. More info regarding the release date will be coming shortly. This is an incredible time to be alive- an incredible time to be making music. We're so proud of this record and we can't wait for you to hear it! Thank you for singing along...jon, tim, chad, jerome, drew
