Switchfoot Webcam News, Muskegan Review, and other bits

Live Update (3:31 PM PST): Switchfoot are in the studio!Watch them now! Switchfoot tells us that one of the songs Chad Butler is drumming to is a song called "Anymore."

MLive.com posted a review of the show that Switchfoot played last Saturday in Muskegon, Michigan.

And for the small group of fans out there, Jon Foreman, lead vocalist, really touched home with his audience. He frequently jumped on the gate, grabbed their wrists and sung directly to the ones that came to see them. I was happy that with all the people who weren't paying attention, he was still giving the performance his all. And not just him, the entire band gave its all. And even though it might have been too mellow for me, those qualities make a great performance for the fans.

Speaking of that show, over the weekend, some of us were able to watch the entire thing via Switchfoot's brand new webcam, with audio! Granted, the noise was just too much, and most of the show, audio was hardly discernable, but it was pretty sweet watching a Switchfoot show -- as it was happening!

Our team of writers on the Switchfoot Webcam Blog have all the info for those who missed out.

that article said this

I realized during "Awakening" that the backup vocals had a backing track. That always makes me wonder what else of their music is pre-recorded and not being mixed live by the performers on stage.

whats up with that?

that is bizzare... I thought in Awakening, the whole time, it was Tim and Romey singing the back-up vocals? unless they changed something...

^well, they do on some things... like, they used backing vocals when they used to play Awakening as the first song of sets. maybe that showed up again?
